Jeremy talks to the former baseball player about being hit in the head by the first pitch he saw in his MLB career and his new book, `Get Up: The Art of Perseverance.`

Adam Greenberg, the former Chicago Cub, had that one plate appearance in July 2005 which resulted in a fastball in the face, a concussion, symptoms that will last for years, is now the author of a new book, “Get Up: The Art of Perseverance”.

"I had positional vertigo, vision issues, suffered from a bout of depression.

After about two-and-a-half years, I was back to 100% in terms on on-the-field. I corrected my vision. I worked with vision training program, Vizual Edge Performance Trainer -- unbelievable for brain function, cognitive abilities, and it really put me back on the field to be able to perform at a high level."

I just wanted to write you with an update. When Lydia first tested with Vizual Edge in Dec. 2013, she scored quite low, 10th percentile. Tonight (Oct. 2014) she tested for the first time in 6 months, and tonight’s score put her in the 99th percentile! She hit her first over-the-fence homerun this past summer….after years of struggling with her hitting. She is now very consistent with quality at-bats. Her fielding (infield) has always been above average, but this summer she really took it to the next level and her quickness and charging the ball has definitely improved. She does seem to have had an improvement in the classroom too! We are so excited, and I firmly believe Vizual Edge has helped take her abilities to the next level. She is now being recruited by some of the top Divison 1 softball teams/schools! Thanks so much for helping us get started last December! And for the skeptical parents (like myself), it is legitimate and it works! Don’t delay. This can help your daughter play to the top of her abilities! ~ Pam Clanton, Mother

Former Cubs outfielder Adam Greenberg was hit in the head with a pitch on his first at bat in the majors, which ended his career. Still boasting an athlete’s physique at 36, he now wants to use that one fast- ball as a way to help others.

Greenberg soon will release a new book, “Get Up: The Art of Perseverance,” based on dealing with his experiences. He lives in Connecticut, has a health and fitness company, Lurong Living, and is active with public and motivational speaking.

Eye-Training with Dallas Stars' Goaltender Richard Bachman

by: Kevin Woodley
InGoal Magazine (4/2/2012)

"I think it's so important. Everyone does dynamic warm ups and loosens up their muscles and for a golie it's huge to get your eyes going and involved in everything and focused and working on tracking," Bachman said. "I developed it into a routine I can rely on, so that come game day I already know exactly what I am going to do and it keeps it simple."
